Conclusion :

ALTEN operates in a sector that was in a deep slump in 2002 and 2003 but that is expected to grow again in 2004. The sector is affected by general economic conditions, although less so than management information technology services.
Demand for embedded technology is very high (embedded electronics, real-time communications software, human-machine interface). International expansion remains one of the best ways in which French companies can rapidly develop their business, as the French market is reaching a mature stage. ALTEN is gaining a foothold in Southern Europe today that will extend to the rest of Europe tomorrow, in order to establish itself in regions with potential for growth.
